Greater Adelaide Transit is a blog site created with the idea of being a central platform for transport enthusiasts and professionals to come together and discuss all things public transport related within the Greater Adelaide Region.

The Greater Adelaide Region as pictured below, is a geography that was outlined in The 30 Year Plan for Greater Adelaide (2017) and includes the Adelaide metropolitan area, the inner, middle and outer metropolitan areas and the wider greater region. It encompasses north to the Barossa Valley, south to Victor Harbor and east to Murray Bridge. This is the growth area of South Australia and is why this site will focus on this geographic region.

About the author

I have been a transport enthusiast my entire life and am a resident of the Greater Adelaide Region. I have spent the past 2 years working for an organisation that helps its community find solutions to local issues, and transport is a reoccurring issue. So much so that I have spent much of my time building relationships with planners, transport authorities, bodies of government and read through plan after plan and contract after contract. It has been my goal to get through the nitty gritty of bureaucracy and business and understand just what makes transit sustainable and people friendly.

It is my goal for this site to disseminate what I have learned with a series of blog posts that discuss transport related topics relevant to the region and hope that you will be encouraged by what you have read and are keen to participate in discussion.
